Electro 2_Basic Electronics_ME2A1_MW_1300 - 1530
Class
Basic Electronics
Basic Electronics – This course focuses on the different construction and principle of operation for various semiconductors used in power electronics as well as
construction of a ladder diagram for a given sequence control circuit that is used in ship’s machineries control system. It also enhances the student’s execution in
troubleshooting sequential control and electronic circuit problems using test instruments. The performance of the students is assessed in a written
formative/summative exam that will gauge their learning towards the course period.
By the end of the course, the students can differentiate construction and principles of various semiconductors, and construct a ladder diagram of any given sequential control circuit while maintaining safe engineering watch duties.
